Is TicCoach free?
Yes. The core TicCoach app — including tic tracking, CBIT exercises, Struggling Right Now tools, and Coach Tay — is free. An optional TicCoach Family plan with additional features is planned for a future update.
Does TicCoach replace therapy?
No. TicCoach is an educational tool inspired by CBIT principles. It is not a substitute for working with a licensed therapist. If your child is struggling significantly, please reach out to a behavioral health provider.
Is my child's data private?
Yes. All personal data — tic logs, moods, sessions, and profile — is stored only on your device. TicCoach does not collect or store this information on its servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my data?
Because all data is stored on your device, you can delete everything by deleting the TicCoach app. There is nothing stored on our servers to request deletion of.
Coach Tay said something that didn't seem right. What do I do?
Coach Tay is an AI assistant and may occasionally give incomplete or imperfect answers. Please never rely on Coach Tay for medical decisions. If something seemed harmful or concerning, please email us so we can improve the experience.
My child is in crisis. What should I do?
Please call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) immediately. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911. TicCoach is not equipped to handle crises — please use these resources.
Can I use TicCoach alongside CBIT therapy?
Yes, and many families find it helpful. TicCoach can reinforce skills between therapy sessions. We recommend sharing the app with your child's therapist so they can guide how to use it alongside their clinical work.
The app isn't working as expected. How do I report a bug?
Email us at support@ticcoach.app with a description of what happened and what device/iOS version you're using. We take bugs seriously and respond to every report.
